Using AutoFill
AutoFill is a great new technology used in Wallet 2, allowing you to automatically fill and submit forms on the internet. Details are explained below.

How it works:

Your dreams come true.

So you have all of your internet passwords for various websites secured and organized in Wallet. But you have to switch back and forth from your browser to Wallet to copy the information. Wouldn't it be great if you could click a button and have Wallet automatically log into that website with your password? Now it's possible.

Setting it up.

To use AutoFill, you will need an entry that has a URL (web address with http:// or https:// prefix) somewhere, and other bits of information you want Wallet to fill out. If the entry is in a group that has headings used for a web account (see the default group "Web Services" for an example), Wallet will use the information in the entry. Then simply click the handy AutoFill button in the top right of the entry pane. Your favorite browser (set this in the Preferences) will launch and automatically fill out the information.
Help! I don't use Safari.
By default, Wallet is set to use AutoFill with Safari. If you use another browser, you may be in luck! Wallet has AutoFill support for OmniWeb, and Internet Explorer, too. To change this setting, open Wallet ▸ Preferences... and select the "AutoFill" pane. Choose a browser from the list. You're good to go!
