New in Wallet 2.6 is the handy Dashboard widget. This feature is only available to users on Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
Installation
You'll need to enable the Wallet Dashboard widget from Wallet in order for it to appear in Dashboard. To do this, go into Wallet's Preferences window (Wallet > Preferences...) and click the "Dashboard" pane. Click "Enable Wallet Dashboard widget". You'll be prompted to enter your administrator name and password. Once validated, the widget will appear in the Dashboard dock.
Opening the widget
To open the widget, simply open Dashboard and drag the Wallet widget icon out from the Dashboard dock. If your Wallet database is password protected, you'll need to enter a password and press return (a
green light will show indicating that the password is correct). If you don't have a password, you're already good to go!
Searching
To search your Wallet database from Dashboard, simply start typing in the search field. If the search field is disabled, then you have not yet entered your password into the widget. Your search results will automatically show below the search field.
Tip: Copying Search Results
To copy something from the Wallet widget to the clipboard, simply click on a line in the results field. The text should turn blue indicating you've clicked it, and Dashboard will disappear letting you paste the text wherever you need it.
