The Password Generator is a great feature included in Wallet used to randomly generate your very own secure passwords. This window can be activated by going to File ▸ Password Generator... in the menubar. The Password Generator window floats above all windows letting you use it in any application.
How it works:
Letters vs Numbers.
An uppercase "A" in the format field indicates that the Password Generator will generate one random uppercase letter in the Password field. A lowercase "a" will generate one random lowercase letter. The "#" character shows that it will generate a random digit from 0 to 9.
Generating and Copying
To generate your password, click the "Generate" button. To copy your newly created password to the clipboard, simply click the "Copy" button.
Why is this useful?
Many web services nowadays make sure that you have both letters and numbers in your password. Passwords based on real words can be easily guessed as well, making your password potentially unsafe. You should always change your passwords on a regular basis. Using Wallet's Password Generator will insure you have the safest password possible, for whenever you need it.
